KIDNAPPED BY THE TALIBAN
Many Americans were introduced to one of the stories of the Afghanistan war when they saw the 2014 CBS interview of Dr. Dilip Joseph regarding his experience and the book he had just written with James Lund, Kidnapped by the Taliban (Thomas Nelson Publishers). Dr. Joseph was the medical director for Morning Star Development, active in Afghanistan, serving locals with medical care and training.

My Mother
My mother, she carried me under her heart, loved me before I was born, took God’s hand and walked as through the “valley of the shadows” that I might live.
She bathed me when I was helpless, clothed me when I was naked, fed me when I was hungry, rocked me to sleep when I was sick, weary and broken hearted, read to me with the voice of an angel.
She held my hand when I learned to walk, suffered with me in sorrow, loved me when i couldn’t love myself, laughed with joy, glowed with my triumphs, and while I knelt at her side, she taught me how to pray.
Fear?
Memorize and repeat God's promises to your self. .
Few disciplines alleviate fear like recalling the marvelous promises of God.
"Yea though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death I will fear no evil for thou art with me" (psalm 23:4 KJV).

It's amazing how just repeating God's promise, alleviates our fears and gives us a quiet heart. Trust Him completely, He cannot tell a lie!
