Truth what is true?

Truth what is true?
Like Pontius Pilate, multitudes today sneer, "What is truth?" The ultimate virtue in our  culture today is tolerance. Anyone who insists that there is an absolute standard of truth is regarded as an intolerant bigot and a threat to the welfare of our nation.
The Christian unashamedly regards Jesus Christ as the standard of truth. Jesus said, "I came into the world, to testify to the truth. Everyone on the side of truth listens to me" (John 18:37).

Can We Mix Fundamental Differences?

Can We Mix Fundamental Differences?
Can Christians  find a common ground with Muslims. After all, both believe.in one God, share some common moral values and claim the same spiritual ancestors in Abraham and Moses Islamic clerics insist they have a high regard for Jesus as a miracle-working prophet. The media has featured numerous stories of Christian ministers and Islamic clerics holding joint worship services and of Muslims and Christians who have intermarried with apparent positive results.

The Diety of Jesus

The Deity of Jesus
I once received a telephone call from a young, enthusiastic Christian. "Quick, I need some verses of Scripture that prove Jesus is God," he said in a hushed tone.
I assured him I'd do my best and asked why the hurry.
"Two Jehovah's Witnesses are upstairs in our family room," he whispered. "They just stopped by, and we're in the middle of a debate. I need some ammunition!"
We both laughed about that conversation later, but it illustrated the fact that theology doesn't seem important to us until our beliefs are challenged.
The chances are good that you will one day have a discussion with a member of a cult who denies that Jesus is God. Jehovah's Witnesses,  Mormons, New Agers,  and others will say complimentary things about Jesus, but they will not confess him as the unique Son of God. When your basic beliefs are challenged, it will become important that you are able to "give the reason for the hope that you have" (1 Peter 3:15).

Our well went dry. We had to move.

Our well went dry.  We had to move.  - Pastor Paul Leavens
    Moving Day
When my wife, Luana, and I had to moved because our well went dry, we discovered the surprising value of the humble cardboard box.  We live pretty simply, but over the years we have accumulated a lot of books, decorations, and keepsakes. Faced with a mountain of stuff to move, we didn’t have to searched for free cardboard boxes.  Ted Owens gave us a lots of cardboard boxes. God bless Ted Owens.
On moving day the cardboard boxes fit snuggly in the back of Luana’s truck.  We made many tripes back and forth.  You’ve heard the expression “easy come,  easy go,”  but on moving weekend the operative word was not easy.   I actually lost three ponds the week we moved.  I do not like moving all my possessions.  You always  break something,  and can’t find anything after you move.  Nothings in the right place.
